Georgian Summerhouses

Our Summerhouse style sheds can be built to look how you want them to look.
Although we call them georgian they can come in many styles. We offer half height, third height or three quarter height glazing for the doors and windows.
The glass can have Georgian window bars or plain glass, round topped windows or even lead lighted.
Whatever the combination is that you prefer, we can do it for you and it doesn’t majorly effect the price it might even make the summerhouse cheaper!

The standard metal work consists of 3 zinc plated “T” hinges on each door. The secondary door is locked with 2 towers bolts (top and bottom) whilst the primary door has a turn button to keep the door closed. There is a zinc plated 6" staple and hasp to fit a padlock to.
If you prefer, this can be upgraded to black cast iron fleur-de-lyss hinges and matching door handle and includes a lock and latch set installed in the door.

The door sizes vary from 25” wide on the 8’ wide summerhouse up to 30” from 10” wide upwards.

The glass is normal horticultural glass as standard, we don't use plastic glazing as our experience is that plast glazing will go brittle, opaque, and possibly yellow over time.
We offer the option of upgrading the glazing to 6.4mm laminated glass for safety and security if you prefer.

As standard out summerhouses are treated with Chroma 2005 timber preservative. This is an excellent preservative but it does neem a waterproof topcoat to be applied after installation. Most timber treatments and paints will cover this treatment. We recommend that an oil or spirit based topcoat is used
If you prefer, we can treat your new summerhouse at our workshop, prior to delivery. With this done it means that your new summerhouse is ready for use as soon as installation is completed.
