Large Apex Garden Sheds

Our Large apex garden sheds can be built up to pretty much any size. As with all our sheds they are made to order and therefore we can usually accommodate any design or layout changes you may require as long as your reqired layout doesn't impact the strength of the shed..

We do not use chipboard or particle board in the construction of our apex sheds. All our roofs are from the same 12mm tongue and groove that we use for cladding. Our floors are made from 18mm exterior plywood as standard but some customers prefer a tongue and grooved floor. If this is you, just ask and we'll use tongue and groove on your shed..

Our sheds are available in either 12mm finished thickness or 16mm finished thickness cladding. Whichever thickness you choose, it'll be a 5th grade or better Scandanavian redwood pine. All our timber is responsibly sourced and fully F.S.C. certified.
The internal heights are 6’ (1.83m) to the eves rising to a minimum of 81” (2.06m) internally at the apex – as the sheds get wider the apex gets taller but we are limited to a total external height of 8’2” or 2.5m to comply with the permitted development regulations.

All our large apex sheds have a ridge beam included in the design to support the roof and prevent it from sagging. We try to keep away from using roof trusses as far as possible as they can limit headroom and give your shed a closed in feeling. We like to keep a spacious feel to our sheds.

The doors are 30” (760mm wide) and 5’10” (1.78m) tall, double doors are 26” (660mm) wide each but can normally be made wider by request. The number of windows fitted is variable dependent on how long the shed is and they are real glass, no plastic used as plastic ages to an opaque yellow over time. If security or safety is a concern then we can upgrade the glass to 6.4mm thick laminated glass.

All our sheds are given a basecoat treatment to give them a good start in life. This treatment in a preservative only, it does need a waterproof topcoat to be applied once installed. We recommend that an oil or spirit based treatment is used.
If you would prefer, we can topcoat treat your new shed for you at our workshop prior to delivery which will mean that your new shed will be ready for use immediately installation is completed.
