Large Pent Garden Sheds

Our Large pent garden sheds go up to 12’ deep and can be built to be as long as you need it to be. They are all built to order and we can usually accommodate any design or layout changes you may require.

We do not use chipboard for the roof or floor of our large pent sheds.
The roofs are made from ¾“ (18mm) O.S.B.3 which is water resistant.
The roof is supported by either 3x2 (38mm x 63mm) C.L.S. beams or 4x2 (45mm x 95mm) C24 beams depending on the depth of the shed.
The spacing of the roof beams is either 24” (610mm) or 16” (400mm) as appropriate.

Our pent sheds are available in either 12mm finished thickness or 16mm 16mm finished thickness cladding.
Both claddings are 5th grade or better Scandinavian redwood pine and are fully F.S.C. certified which means it comes from a carefully managed, sustainable resource.
The framework is 38mm x 63mm C.L.S., C16 graded.
The internal heights are 6’ (1.83m) minimum headroom rising to a minimum of 80” (2.03 m) internally at the front – as the sheds get wider the front gets taller.
These heights can be increased or reduced as required, however, we are limited to a total external height of 8’2” or 2.5m to comply with the permitted development regulations.

The doors are 30” (760mm wide) and 5’10” (1.78m) tall as standard.
Double doors are 26" wide (each door) or 650mm

The number of windows fitted is variable dependent on how long the shed is or what the client requires
We use real glass.
No plastic glazing is used as plastic can go brittle or yellow - or both!.
Laminated glass can be fitted if required.

All our sheds are given a basecoat treatment to give them a good start in life. This treatment in a preservative only, it does need a waterproof topcoat to be applied once installed. We recommend that an oil or spirit based treatment is used.
If you prefer, we can treat your shed for you at our workshop prior to delivery. Having this done means that your new shed will be ready for use immediately installation is completed.
We also reccomend that guttering is fitted to manage the water run off from your roof. This is also something that we can do for you if you wish.
