Pent Garden Shed Layout
The pent shed is a shed with a single slope to the roof. The pent roof can slope from front to back, side to side, or if you prefer it can slope forwards.
Our pent garden sheds can have the doors and the windows exactly placed, wherever you need them to be.
The door can be in the end panel (the panel that slopes form front to beck) or in the front, either to the left or the right of the windows.
The choice is entirely yours.
It's also entirely up to you if the hinges go on the left or to the right of the door .... or you can even have double doors if you need better access for those wider items.
.Small Pent Garden Shed Specification
Internal Height - as standard, the minimum height, at the short end, is 72", or 182cm
External Height Add 3" or 7.5cm to the internal height
The height of the tall side increases according to the width of the shed.
A 4ft wide pent shed will increase in height by 4 inches, or 10cm
A 5ft wide pent shed will increase in height by 5inches, or 12.5cm
A 6ft wide pent shed will increase in height by 6 inches, or 15cm
If you need a taller pent shed then just ask us, we can increase the height in 4" (10cm) increments up to a maximum external height of 8ft 2 inches (2.5m)
Cladding ex16mm or ex19mm (approximately 11.5mm finished thickness) with 32mm x 45mm framework
OR
ex19mm (approximately 16mm finished thickness) with 38mm x 63mm C16 dry graded (3x2 C.L.S.) framework
Roof - ex16mm Tongue and Groove, "v" jointed (approximately 12mm finished thickness)
Floor - If your new shed is ordered with ex16mm cladding, it will have an ex16mm Tongue and Grooved floor
If it has ex19mm cladding, it will have an ex19mm Tongue and Grooved floor
Standard floors have 32mm x 45mm treated floor joists
Included treatment - Chroma 2005 fungicidal treatment (not waterproof)
Optional Treatment upgrade- Barrettines Protect and Nourish, light brown (waterproof, oil and spirit based, feeds the wood, the best treatment available to us)
Doors
A single door is 30" (76cm) wide overlapping the framework on all edges.
The door opening is 29" (74cm) wide
Double doors are either 26" or 30" wide each, overlapping the framework on all edges for a great weather seal. With both doors open, the access gap is either is 51" (129cm) wide or 59" (150cm) wide
Double doors are £65.00 extra
Doors are fitted with 3 zinc plated hinges, a turn button to keep them closed, and a staple and hasp ready for your own padlock.
Double doors have two tower bolts to keep the second door closed until needed.
All measurements and dimensions are nominal
